Summer Camp 2015

A three day all inclusive event to help you rediscover the joy of creating without a screen in sight.

June 15/16/17 - Cardigan, West Wales

Supported by Fforest

How do you start a fire in your belly? The sort of fire that everyone can help to build, the sort of fire that everyone wants to sit around, wants to talk around, wants to dream around. A fire that grows.

Building a fire is often about the stuff that’s in between the ‘work’; the communication and exchange of ideas that goes on over lunch, dinner, over a beer at the end of the day.

If you've come to the conclusion that you can never light a fire in a normal conference environment, come light a fire and warm yourself at the Five Simple Steps Summer Camp.

Over three days you will experience workshops, talks and hands-on activities served alongside some of the tastiest locally sourced food and entertainment you could possibly imagine - all inclusive. We will house you, feed you and make your sure you will never forget your first visit to Summer Camp.

The Venue

Fforest is not a campsite. Fforest is the result of a dream. The dream of trying to remember what 'simple' can look, feel and taste like.

The camp has a range of unique tented and converted farm building accommodation and lots of places to eat, drink, gather and have fun. Fforest is also home to the most beautiful little pub in the world.

Don't worry about getting lost on your way, there will be a coach from Cardiff so you can sit back and enjoy the scenery on route.

The Accommodation

Accommodation is included at Summer Camp. The Tents are all located along the field boundaries tucked into the trees, bushes and wild flowers. The perfect antidote to the busy modern world.

With log burning stoves, soft beds and fully equipped kitchens, all accomodation is comfortable, beautifully designed and located to afford stunning views.

The Food

With an abundance of fresh food grown onsite, you certainly won't go hungry.

Fresh, vibrant, unfussy and good for your soul. All meals are provided and we promise it will be the best food you have tasted for years.

Forget food miles. Fforest measures in metres.

The schedule doesn’t tell the whole story. Around the structured workshops there will be impromptu talks, activities and stories to be told. The stuff in the gaps is just as important.

If you worry about getting mud on your shoes, this isn't for you.
If you are expecting eight talks a day from the usual suspects, this isn't for you.
If you feel anxious without wi-fi, again, this isn't for you.
If you want to awaken your senses and nourish your soul amongst lovely people, in a unique and beautiful setting, then pack your wellies. You are more than welcome.

What is your code of conduct?

In short, be nice and we’ll be nice to you. For our full code of conduct click here.

Will I be sharing accommodation with a stranger?

There is a variety of accommodation at Fforest, all beautiful & unique. There will be sharing, but everybody will have their own bed and privacy. We will not mix genders and will try to accommodate friends together.

What will I need to bring with me?

Enthusiasm and a smile. We will provide you with a list of kit to bring, but it's nothing you wouldn't already have.
