Terms and conditions
The term 'Five Simple Steps Publishing Ltd' or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owners of the website whose company registration number is 07949097. The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). As we're a UK registered company, this makes our taxes a whole lot easier. If you wish to convert GBP into your local currency, the XE Universal Currency Converter will give you an indication of equivalent value.
Please note, we charge VAT on all ebooks and videos sold to UK customers. This is added during the checkout process, so we can determine from your address whether you are liable to pay VAT.
We only sell brand new products, not used items.
Most products are carried in stock and can be dispatched quickly. Items which are not onsite can take longer to be ready for dispatch. We will try to keep you informed of the progress of your order. When an item is pre-ordered and money is taken for that item (as we use PayPal, this is standard procedure), an expected shipping date will be communicated explicitly with the customer prior to purchase.
See our shipping information for more details.
Sending the order
Find the item you want to buy, add it to your cart and pay for it. You will receive an order confirmation once your order has been accepted; this email will tell you that you're due to receive a second email when we dispatch your order.
There is a different process for download orders: please see the separate section below on download sales.
Secure web ordering and credit card payment through PayPal
We use PayPal to process our transactions. They're reliable, secure and you don't need an account in order to use the service.
If you want to cancel your order, please notify us as soon as possible. It may be that your order will already have been dispatched and we are unable to recall it. We cannot guarantee to cancel items from an order. The only opportunity we have to cancel is when waiting for product that is out of stock. Cancellation requests must be logged via our support area, quoting your order number.
Download purchases cannot be cancelled. Please see the section below on download sales.
Guarantees and returns
All items are guaranteed to be brand new and should reach you in perfect condition.
We will only replace items that are defective or sent in error. Please see our refund and returns policy for more information.
This is subject to you notifying us of the problem and returning the book to us within thirty days of receipt of the goods and providing a description of the damage or defect. Please contact us before returning items. Report faulty items via our support area and we will give you return instructions.
All our downloadable files are DRM free.
When you place an order to purchase a downloadable item from us, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order and how to collect the item(s). Your order represents an offer to us to purchase an item, which is accepted by us when we send email confirmation that we've made that product available to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the order confirmation email to you.
You will then be able to access links that will allow you to download your purchased files. You can download as many copies as you like within the period that the link is valid. The files will be licensed to you, however, and are not for resale or distribution.
Broken links or download error
If you experience a problem when downloading material or if you encounter a broken link, please inform us immediately via our support area, giving details of the item and your order number.
We will make every effort to ensure that downloads which you have purchased are available for collection immediately or at any time within two working days of the date of purchase. It is possible, however, that at times of very heavy demand or in case of exceptional technical problems you may be asked to collect your file(s) at another time.
After an item has been purchased and downloaded onto your data storage device (e.g. computer, or any medium on which data can be stored, whether existing now or in the future), you are permitted to make copies exclusively for your own private and domestic use.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
If at any stage in the ordering process you encounter a problem please get in touch with us though our support area.
