Pocket Guides: Collection 3 available today!
posted 21 May 2013 by Mark BoultonToday we’re releasing two new titles for our new Pocket Guide Collection Three: CSS Animations by Val Head; and Colour Accessibility by Geri Coady.
In Colour Accessibility, Geri shows us how to create designs based on colour palettes that are accessible to people with colour-blindness without sacrificing aesthetics.
We often take colour for granted. We often choose colours for our designs based on our own vision, not other people’s; especially not based on what someone with impaired colour vision might see. And, frankly, we feel that any kind of checkbox-based colour accessibility tool just doesn’t cut it on its own. We need to learn accessible colour theory. And that’s what Geri is giving us in a neat, digestible ebook for the price of a coffee.
In CSS Animations, Val covers the basics of CSS animation through a series of examples, and discusses practical considerations of dealing with browsers and fallbacks. CSS animations open up a whole new way to look at and use CSS to bring motion to the web in creative ways. This Pocket Guide is designed to help you jump into using CSS animations in your own projects, providing a strong foundation on which to start experimenting and creating.
