Thanks to support from Typekit, we’re really pleased to bring you our second paperback Pocket Guide collection.

Collection Two contains Andy Croll’s HTML Email, Andrew Travers’ Interviewing for Research, James Chudley’s Usability of Web Photos and Tim Brown’s Combining Typefaces as glorious, tactile paperbacks, with an extra treat on top - the talented team at Typekit has designed a series of inspirational type studies which you’ll find bundled up exclusively with the books.

The Collection Two paperback edition is available now for £19. Remember, it’s only available in limited quantities so if you want one, be quick!

New website features

In between Pocket Guide collections we’ve been working on a few tweaks to the Five Simple Steps site. We’ve spent the past couple of months speaking to our users, analysing survey results and testing, gathering all the knowledge together to make the Five Simple Steps site better.

Our shop is powered by Shopify, and we’ve been lucky enough to have invaluable support and help from Shopify’s Keir Whitaker. One of the first changes to come out of this is now ready – you can now create a customer account with us.

Creating an account allows you to access your order history, view and print invoices, and retrieve all your previously purchased digital files. No more requesting downloads to be reopened – we’ve removed the expiry dates and all your files are available in one secure area.

If you’ve bought something from us before, you’ll need to activate your account – just follow the link to set up a password (bear in mind that your previous order history will be associated with the email address you used when purchasing). You don’t have to set up an account with us to buy a product though – you still have the option to check out as a guest.

We’re hoping to launch a few more changes later this week. There will be improvements to our product pages, as well as a smarter IA. We’ve still got some work to do, but we’re really excited to get these changes out. Here’s to a new chapter!
